This is a FREE event where Dr Paul Turner* will share and discuss the findings of his research on organisational coaching. Paul will reveal the key strategies, models and tools on how to make coaching a success in your workplace. 

The interest in coaching has increased year by year and is now a global phenomenon with billions spent on coaching interventions. Yet most of this money is wasted due to a lack of focus on evidence based knowledge that identifies what works and what doesn’t – organisations keep making the same expensive mistakes. Paul will give you a unique insight into workplace coaching and distil the learning from his PhD research project and related research activities by summarising what leaders, HR professionals, line managers and professional coaches need to know about introducing and maintaining a workplace coaching culture that delivers high employee engagement and performance.  

Paul often quotes Confucius when saying that ‘knowledge without practice is useless, practice without knowledge is dangerous’, and affirms that this is particular true in the field of organisational coaching. Paul brings both coaching knowledge and coaching practice together in his approach.

*Dr Paul Turner
Paul is an internationally recognised HR Consultant and Coach with specialist knowledge and a wealth of experience of implementing HR best practices including leadership, coaching and talent development strategies. He is passionate about how organisations can make a difference to business performance through releasing the potential of employees. 

He has an outstanding track record of success as an HR Executive in the financial services sector having led a multiple award winning HR team. For his HR achievements he was recognised in the world’s premier business awards as Best International HR Executive (The Stevie Awards, USA). He also was placed in the Top 40 UK HR Power Players List (Personnel Today, UK) and Top 100 Most Influential UK HR Directors List (Human Resources Magazine, UK) over several years.

Since moving into consultancy Paul has worked as a consultant and coach with many leading international companies as well as academic institutions. Paul is an honorary research fellow with Birmingham City University, where he gained his PhD relating to organisational coaching. He is also a fellow of the CIPD and a visiting academic for the universities of Aberystwyth, Wolverhampton and BPP College (London) and has authored several articles and papers on HR related topics.
